Catch Up Time

Hi to all our followers and all our customers.

Lots of things have been happening. We have new stock in the shop which includes, Copics, and Swatch Books for recording all the Copic colours that you have and these great books fit in your handbag.

There is a restock of parchment tools and parch paper. We are really looking forward to having Dale Gray, our qualified Parchment teacher visit us again in May. Dale will be here on 27th to 30th May. For all those wishing to do a class please keep 27th free.

Alicia visited at the weekend and did a revamp of the shop and the window. One customer commented that the shop has "atmosphere".

We are due to get a delivery of 3 cartons of papers and embellishment this week. I will make a post as soon as they arrive. Can't wait to see all the new stock. It always looks so much better in real life.

I am also expecting a delivery of 3D papers tomorrow or Friday.

March Is Here Already

Hello to all our followers and welcome to another month. We have a brand new kit to show you this month. We received some beautiful boy papers and thought they would be perfect for a monthly challenge. They have some very cute robots on one side or rockets on the other. It is your choice which side you would like to use.

The kit includes the template for the cogs so all you have to do is cut it out and alter it in some way.

Here is an example layout created by Melissa using the kit.

There is only a limited number of kits and they are selling very fast after only 1 day so make sure you contact us at the shop to secure your kit.

Challenge Kit Details:

The challenge kit costs $10 +P&H and is available from the first of each month.

To enter the challenge, please create an original layout or project using only the contents of the kits. (consumables such as glues, paint, ink and glitter are OK to add.Additional lettering is Ok if not supplied in the kit).

Entries are due by midnight on the final day of the month.

Drop your completed entry to the store for display, or take a photo and upload it to Facebook, either directly to our page, or to your own page tagging us. (Please contact us if you need some help with this). You may also email us your entry to acrafterspassion@bigpond.com You can also leave a comment under this post with a link to your blog. We are more than happy to come and look at your work on your own personal blog, as long as you link it back to this blog and post. (Please only links to the exact post, not to the entire blog thank You).

** Please contact us if you wish to enter your project but not have it on public display- your entry can be considered privately.You are more than welcome to post on your blog or in other galleries. Please mention that it is a Crafter's Passion kit.

The winner for the month will be chosen by the store owner at her discretion. The winner will receive the following month's kit FREE.

STOCK

We have received 5 deliveries in the last week.

We have 2 ranges from Best Creations which were released at CHA.
Echo Park, Sassafras Lass, Basic Grey and Websters Pages are also in stock.

Yesterday we received the February release of Do Crafts. If you have not heard about Do Crafts, pop in to the shop for a look. Every two months this English Company releases a magazine ($4.99), which has a free gift attached. They demonstrate in the magazine all the new products that they release that month. We have papers, stamps, punches, that match and then there are always a few extra items. Even just buying the magazine can get the creative juices flowing.

Thanks to all the ladies who attended the Copic Workshop. Melissa and I hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. We will be holding another in the future for those that could not attend.

Our next big event is the Parchment Workshops to be held on 18th, 19th and 20th February. We still have some vacancies Friday night and Sunday.

COPICS and NEW STOCK

Just one week to go for the Copic Workshop in Rockhampton. It is great to be able to introduce something new to the area. There are still a couple of vacancies, so if you would like to learn something new and exciting it is not too late to book.

New stock has arrived and we are expecting a really big shipment next week. It left the supplier on Friday.

Some of the new items are crystal flowers, ribbons, mesh, single flowers and sprays.

We have also received 12 colours in the Tim Holtz Distress Inks as well as the matching refills. 3mm double sided tape, foam mounting tape, 3D dots are also back in supply. There are now 8 different colours in the Stazon Inks.

Introduction To Copic Markers Workshop

This is a quick reminder to let you know about our upcoming workshop.Our "Introduction To Copic Markers" Workshop will be held on Saturday 5th February from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.This workshop is an introduction to the world of Copic Markers. In the workshop you will learn all about Copic Markers including what you can and can't do with them. The different types of Markers and how to blend with different Markers.The Workshop will cost $60 per person which includes afternoon tea. You will also receive an "Introduction To Copic Markers" Workshop Kit which will include everything you will need for the workshop eg. A colourless blender, 2 Copic Sketch Markers, blending paper and some things you will alter with Copic Markers during the workshop. The only thing you will need to bring along will be pen and paper for taking notes.If you are interested in this workshop please contact the shop to book your place by Thursday 20th January as numbers are limited and stock needs to be ordered.Thank You.

The flood waters are finally going down and the Bruce Highway is open and I can go home tomorrow after nearly 3 weeks in town.

Time For An Update

Well we had more rain today but thankfully the shop has not been affected.

We have had deliveries and now have new ribbons angd embellishments as well as lots of new Tim Holtz products including his new Distress Stickles. The order of Glossy Accent has also arrived.

I must apologise for the delay in announcing the winner of the Monthly Kit but we have had major internet problems here.
